Proposed amendments to how the efficacy of certain pool and spa chemicals is assessed
The APVMA, who are the Australian Federal Govt agency which regulates the registration and sale of swimming pool and spa chemicals, requested submissions on the 29th March 2022 to their proposed amendments to how the efficacy of certain pool and spa chemicals are assessed.
We have welcomed this initiative by the APVMA.
In our modern world where climate change, sustainability and global warming are topics that are in the news daily, chemical manufacturing and usage are a major contributing factor to these negative effects.
It is also widely known that the inefficiencies of certain swimming pool and spa chemicals are a contributing factor to their over use and consequently the issues that this creates.
Unfortunately, there appears to be only two submissions to the APVMA’s request Enviroswim and SPASA.
Both these submissions can be read at this link: https://apvma.gov.au/node/98301
The Enviroswim submission is below.
